Larry Lichtenauer founded Lawrence Howard & Associates, Inc. (LH&A) in 1996, after spending more than 15 years as a journalist, public relations practitioner and director of marketing for a number of local and national companies. He has diverse experience in a number of industries, most specifically commercial, retail and residential real estate; financial services and banking; construction equipment; food processing and equipment; and outdoor sporting goods and apparel.

He oversaw all marketing, advertising and public relations functions for McCormick Properties, Inc., The KMS Group and Constellation Real Estate, Inc. During his six-year tenure as Director of Public Relations for Emery Advertising Corporation, he managed comprehensive public relations campaigns for companies such as Beretta, USA, Liebherr-America, McCormick-Stange Flavor Division and Cambridge Wire Cloth.

For companies including Corporate Office Properties Trust, The Columbia Bank and St. John Properties, he has developed a full spectrum of collateral materials, print, radio and television advertising and public relations activities including groundbreakings, grand openings, artwork dedications and other special events.

Larry began his career as a journalist, sports editor and photo journalist after earning his degree from the University of Maryland's College of Journalism. He enjoys competitive sports and coaching a variety of youth teams including roller hockey, basketball and baseball.

As President of LH&A, he has won a number of awards from the Public Relations Society of America -- including the Pro Bono project of the year for the James Rouse Theatre for the Performing Arts -- and the National Association of Office Parks in the marketing category.

Caryn has more than 13 years of agency public relations experience. She has generated numerous broadcast interviews, feature articles and cover stories in the local, regional, national and trade media. Along with writing and developing articles, marketing plans and collateral materials, she has managed campaigns for a diverse range of real estate, retail, healthcare, entertainment, transportation and business-to-business clients.

In 2003, Baltimore Magazine named Sagal, “Best Flak,” (public relations professional) in its annual “Best of Baltimore” issue. Earlier in her career, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) -Maryland Chapter named her, “New Professional of the Year.”

She also won a Gold Award from the International Association for Business Communicators-Harrisburg Chapter for leading a national marketing communications campaign to launch an automotive product. This involved the creation of training, promotional and sales materials, as well as the coordination of press conference/product rollout events – all resulting in strong product sales and widespread media coverage.

Her work with non-profit organizations includes:

• Publicity chair (and 2000 event co-chair) for Literacy Works, Inc.’s annual BOOK BASH and celebrity author fundraisers,
• Publicity chair (and 2007 event co-chair) of the annual Chocolate Affair fundraiser(benefiting the Center for Poverty Solutions during the first eight years of her affiliation and now benefiting Health Care for the Homeless),
• Publicity chair for the Alzheimer’s Association-Greater Maryland Chapter’s annual Memory Ball and Memory Walk fundraisers,
• Publicist for the Dr. Michael Feinglass Cancer Foundation’s annual bowl-a-thon,
• Publicist for United Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Central Maryland Black Tie & Blue JeansConcert with Emmylou Harris,
• Past Board of Trustees member and Marketing & Communications Committee chair for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society-Maryland Chapter

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland’s College of Journalism where she ranked #1 in the College, receiving the Outstanding Public Relations Senior Award and the Kappa Tau Alpha National Journalism Honor Society's Top Scholar Award. A member of seven national honor societies including Phi Beta Kappa, Sagal was named in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
