1200 series window
Like insulated glass, window hardware has come a long way since the days of pulleys, rope and iron weights. Some convenient options you may want to consider are as follows. Remember, once your new windows are built, it is usually impossible to add these features later.

Ventilation latches:
Also know as “night latches,” when engaged these latches allow a window to be opened an inch or two for fresh air, but block the window from being opened further.

Tilt-N-Slide:
The Tilt-N-Slide design allows sliding windows to open easily and lock into any position for tilting. Now exterior glass can be cleaned quickly and safely from inside the house. Homeowners can breathe easy with increased ventilation because they can now open their windows all the way. Tilt-N-Slide also provides peace of mind in an emergency situation, opening fully to allow fast and easy access.

Safety
Not all tilt-in window hardware is created equal. Tilt-N-Slide is the safest tilt-in hardware on the market today. Only Tilt-N-Slide securely locks the sash to the frame before tilting inward, preventing it from falling and injuring the homeowner and eliminating liability issues for the manufacturer. Other hardware systems only apply brake pressure, increasing the possibility of the sash falling out of the frame.

E-Gard® Hardware:
A multi-stage e-coat process specifically engineered for Truth window hardware components. E-Gard Hardware coating is designed to protect both steel and zinc parts from the effects of residential hazards such as cleaning agents as well as corrosion caused by acid rain, ultra violet radiation, and wood preservatives.

NOTE: E-Gard Hardware coating was not intended to handle the severe conditions associated with coastal areas.

CoastGard Hardware:
A coating process engineered to provide improved corrosion protection compared to standard finishes in coastal applications. Coastal areas are some of the most extreme environments for window hardware. The unrelenting attack of salt, high humidity and wind-blown sand accelerate corrosion on nearly any coating. CoastGard coating was developed by Truth Hardware with these requirements in mind.

Mini-blinds:
Enjoy the convenience of mini-blinds actually sealed between the panes of glass. No more dusting or cleaning, and since they’re between the panes, they can’t be damaged!
